The place prepositions “en”, “dans” and “sur” have specific rules of usage in French. As these usages are often different from those of the English language, let’s do a quick revision.

Is “en” used with feminine or masculine country names? In which cases can we say “in the university” rather than “at the university”? Do we say “on the street” or “in the street”?
